Hello, I’m Sarah, a counsellor at Tilia Therapy.

I am an integrative therapist, which means I blend different approaches and consider different perspectives on the issues and clients I work with. In practice, this allows me to create a way of working that is most appropriate and helpful for each client in getting to where they want to be at the conclusion of therapy. I am also trained in integrating coaching with counselling, which means that I can use approaches and techniques that support clients who wish to make positive changes in their life as a result of the work we do together. I love my work and I am passionate about supporting people during times of challenge, transitions, and growth.

My work with previous clients includes working with issues around identity, anxiety, depression, career change, bereavement, child loss/separation, abuse (domestic, sexual and emotional), parenting and relationship breakdown. I also have experience of working with clients in a variety of settings such as prison, charities and privately.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching and I am an accredited member of the BACP and a registered member of ACC. I also hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate.

Prior to becoming a counsellor, I worked within the charity sector in various roles that focused on supporting emotional wellbeing within the community. Alongside my current therapeutic work for Tilia Therapy I work for a Counselling agency in Belfast.
